Ganko is an upscale izakaya style restaurant. The sushi is good as is the sashimi and tempura. A friend had the deluxe fries dish which was tasty.

It is a beautiful and calm store. Lunch time is relatively cheap. I ordered a sashimi tempura set meal, but it was provided quickly and the taste was good. As it is one person, it became counter seat, but there is no problem. When you enter the store, it is good to direct the bridge.

Kyoto station Karasuma mouth is out of the Kyoto Theater, it is in the line of the theater, I tried to enter the station avoiding the crowding of the station building on weekends.I wanted to drink beer and dine, so I chose the one not tempura with Yawaragi lunch, but I added steamed pots at a great set fee and got a relaxed satisfying lunch.The menu was versatile and there were many alcoholic drinking establishments so I went there evening, but there were some disappointing in the late time zone that was crowded with banquet and it was a bit disappointing.I think that it is a shop in a well-being that can accommodate delicious Japanese cuisine at reasonable price, relaxing for dinner and choice drinking.

It thing I asked is not coming at all, to come to different I asked one more time, sincerity there was no clue I was apology at the end to the cash register. Stood is so belly for the first time the restaurant was born. Actually star is the level you do not want even one.

I had a really delicious dinner here on my first night in Kyoto. I ended up eating here out of coincidence since I was unable to eat on the 11th floor of Kyoto Station after 10 pm and I found this restaurant through Google Maps.The outside is not much to look at but the decor of the restaurant inside is very beautiful and also very traditional. The prices are also very good for the area.I ordered a bottle of fresh Kyoto mandarin orannge juice (飲むみかん) and it was delicious. To eat, I ordered a set meal that included sushi (delicious), tempura (good), and egg custard miso soup (I will never eat this again) - Everything together was about ¥2500.

The restaurants around Kyoto Station at noon are everywhere. If you go aiming at the Kyoto Theater on the east side of Kyoto Station, it is on the second floor. The menu is everywhere, the taste is also common in the menu of the Japanese restaurant, but I choose it because of the vacancy rate at noon.

This was a really wonderful experience. As a sushi eater with a vegetarian husband and two kids in tow, finding a way to enjoy sushi in a place everyone else could enjoy was tricky. Ganko fit the bill perfectly! The sushi set with tempura and soba was delicious, husband had ample veggie sushi options as well as tofu three ways, and an eggplant dish. Kids ate well and we didnt order only from the kids menu (omelet, noodles, rice with curry). Staff was friendly and attentive and welcomed our family in (the vibe inside is more fancy than we had tried yet in Japan). It was a truly great dining experience and we were all thrilled.

It was not so if you thought that it was a bit expensive at the station Naka, so it was good that there was plenty of affordable single items menu. I got a piece of small bowls recommended by a clerk, but I feel that there is no losing. This time I got in the way of having less time, so I would like to take it slowly this time.
